Madama Oliva’s new-harvest olive launch puts seasonal sourcing windows in focus

Cosmo Food EU Editorial

Food Affairs reports that Madama Oliva has launched its fourteenth Olive Novelle seasonal selection, made with olives from the October 2026 harvest. The article identifies Dolci Verdi Giganti olives in 250 g and 800 g packs and describes availability through December, while stocks last.

Cosmo buyer interpretation: a new-harvest proposition needs a purchasing calendar that connects supply confirmation, transport and the intended selling period. Importers should request the exact product specification, storage conditions and remaining shelf life at delivery. These checks matter when comparing a seasonal line with a regular olive assortment, particularly if the buying decision depends on a promotion with fixed dates.

Pack size should also be assessed against the intended customer. Buyers can compare expected usage, waste after opening and the space available in their distribution network to assess the value of each format. Ask separately about case quantities, minimum orders, export-market availability and replenishment deadlines; the report does not establish those commercial terms.

Before approving an antipasti listing, agree how shortages or delayed arrivals would be handled. Treat a harvest-led launch as a specific seasonal buying opportunity, and verify product-level claims and destination labelling with the supplier before repeating them in customer materials.
