Euricom plans German acquisition to expand rice and legume supply

Cosmo Food EU Editorial

EFA News reports that Euricom has entered binding agreements to acquire all shares in Müller's Mühle from GoodMills Deutschland. The German business brings a production facility in Gelsenkirchen and experience serving retail, foodservice and industrial channels. Its portfolio includes rice, legumes and other grains. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of 2026; the companies continue operating independently until those procedures finish.

Cosmo Food EU buyer perspective

For sourcing teams, a proposed acquisition is a prompt to ask practical questions about the product offer. Buyers assessing legume ingredients for snacks or other formulations should request current technical specifications, sample availability, minimum order quantities and the intended manufacturing location. Finished-product buyers can ask about pack sizes, pallet configuration and destination-market labels.

Separate current capabilities from plans for the combined business. Establish which legal entity would issue quotations and invoices, whether existing contracts remain in place and how supplier contacts will communicate any changes. A wider group portfolio does not automatically mean a particular ingredient, recipe or pack is available for a new project.

For an international launch, compare the complete landed offer with alternatives: processing performance, documented allergen handling, lead times and freight. These checks make the reported expansion useful to a purchasing decision without assuming that the acquisition has already completed.
