Pastificio Bacchini prepares frozen bakery launch for SIAL Paris

Cosmo Food EU Editorial

According to Food Affairs, Surgital plans to present the new Pastificio Bacchini bakery range at SIAL Paris on 17–21 October 2026. The range comprises frozen pancakes in several formats, including mini pancake-blinis, alongside plain crêpes. The supplier positions the products for sweet and savory preparations across hotels, bistros, restaurants, catering businesses and restaurant chains.

Buyer interpretation: the useful sourcing question is how each format performs in the intended service setting. A breakfast buffet, a plated dessert and a savory catering menu may need different portion sizes, preparation steps and presentation standards. Assess samples in the actual recipe and service process before assuming that one product will suit every application.

For a frozen product brief, record the required pack size, storage conditions, preparation method and expected handling after opening. Ask the supplier for product specifications and agree the practical delivery arrangements, including the quantities needed for a trial and for routine replenishment.

A trade show can provide a useful setting for that comparison. Prepare a short list of applications and operational questions before meeting suppliers, so discussions can move from the range description to a workable product proposal. These considerations are independent buyer guidance; the SIAL presentation remains a planned event at the time of this report.
